2018 High School Summer Football Program
STATE MANDATED BLACKOUT PERIOD - June 30 - July 8 - No football activities or football-related strength and conditioning.
2018 Official Practice will start on August 6 for Varsity. It will start August 9 for Freshmen.
Equipment pickup will be on the first day of practice.

Objective: To introduce the team to the varsity and freshman coaches and provide a baseline for summer training.
Date: June 4 (CHANGED FROM JUNE 5)
Times: 5:30pm – 8:00pm
Objective: To introduce team schemes and concepts, and practice techniques under the guidance of the high school coaching staff in preparation for summer training.
Date: June 11-13
Pre Season Summer Weightroom Testing ('18/'19 Soph – Seniors)
To establish individualized summer weightroom programs and measure progress of
all who have been training.

Summer Football Program
To practice individual and team techniques and concepts under the guidance of the
high school coaching staff in preparation for the upcoming season. These sessions will
follow the evening weight lifting sessions with Coach McFarland, and begin with 30
minutes of on field strength, speed, and explosion training under his direction. We will also have passing
scrimmages against other schools, times and locations TBD.
Mondays and Wednesdays from June 25 - Aug 3 - Frosh Team Days will be Monday or Wed (TBA)

Summer Football Weight Training (register through Coach McFarland)
Objective: To improve strength, speed, conditioning, and explosion under the guidance of
Coach McFarland and the strength staff. The football coaches will also frequently be
